During a hike, one of the participants expressed his appreciation for a hike made easy.  All that he wanted was to have a place to come into the section of trail, complete a loop and have an equally easy way out. He explained that by having someone experienced along, he was free to enjoy himself since he had time to really look at the mountains with no concerns for his family’s safety.  Or having to spend effort keeping track of time and weather. He wanted to stop as often as he wanted and leave his cares behind, if for a little while. And that folks is how our Trail Guide Services was born.

There are many outstanding hiking trails in Union County, Georgia.  Arkaquah, Neel’s Gap, Brasstown Bald, Byron Herbert Reece, Bear Hair, Coosa Backcountry, Slaughter Creek, Jarrett Gap and Raven Cliff Trail to mention a few. If you tell us how long you would like to hike and what degree of difficulty you would prefer, we can select the trail that will best meet your wants.  We will take you out, look after your group and bring you back safely.

I like groups and the sense of community. Folks who hike the Appalachian Trail share a common bond that transcends all of the things that divide us off the trail. I have met many interesting people this way.  The community includes the towns that borders the Appalachian Trail, there is a lot of history in the mountains. Treat your group, come and visit us.

The average hike is 5-6 hours, out in the field.  You would need to provide your own food, water and whatever else you might want to pack.
