Back by popular request at The Old Courthouse on the Square in Blairsville, The Bauman family band will give a concert at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 30, playing a wide variety of music ranging from traditional songs such as I Saw The Light, to the Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, and Jim Croce. The band consists of Jeff and Diane Bauman and their four children. Kenna, a sophomore at Young Harris College, plays guitar and sings lead vocals. Adele, a rising senior at Union County High School, plays lead and rhythm guitar and sings both lead and back-up vocals. Cora, a UCHS sophomore, plays guitar, sings and plays auxiliary percussion. Milo, the youngest member of the band, plays percussion, sings vocals and plays guitar. The Bauman Family has been playing together since 2003. They began performing at their church, First UMC of Union County, and soon began playing events throughout the community with appearances at Young Harris College and at the Historic Courthouse in Blairsville.
NOTICE: Exhibitors will be setting up booths on Friday afternoon and evening for the Arts and Crafts Festival to be held on the square on the day following the concert. If parking is not available on the square, use the parking lot between the Rogers building or the mew city parking lot behind the building under renovation that housed King's Variety store.
