Event Description:
HEALTHY AND DELICIOUS  (Class Limit – 12) By Brenda Hull
In Spanish cuisine tapa means small plates of food, cold or hot, meant to be a snack.  Tapas menus have become sophisticated ways to share food among a group of friends.  Often they include something like appetizers, salads, main courses and desserts but smaller versions of each.  Very shareable!  We will explore the 4 courses of a nice meal with a tapas version and show how all can be good tasting and good for you.  Cooking healthy should be fun and delicious.  I'll do my best to show you how!  Be prepared to take food home!   Additional fee for ingredients for 4 classes: $40.   Location:  Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Hayesville, NC.
Biology is Brenda Hull's passion and was her profession for almost 30 years.  After retiring from Young Harris College she still enjoys the natural world on a small farm in Clay County, North Carolina where she raises organic vegetables and fruit and feeds a menagerie of heritage chickens, turkeys, and pigs.  Dogs and a horse round out the family.  For 5 years she has been the sous chef at Crane Creek Vineyard, preparing tapas on Friday nights and special event foods with Chef David Sanford.  Isn't life really all about food.
