Name: ICL: Summer Watercolors – Starts 7/10 (Mondays 3:15-5:15 p.m. for 5 weeks)
Date: July 24, 2017
Time: 3:15 PM - 5:15 PM EDT
Event Description:
Join in with a wonderful group of painters who love to have fun!  Beginners - Advanced creative types will enjoy sharing the enthusiasm, knowledge, & passion with others who enjoy color & the creative challenges of composition.
Designed as a-drop-in-when-you-can course, each week features new artists who employ various basic watercolor techniques. The complicated part starts when you mix these techniques together!
Every week we'll add to our studio journals with color copies of watercolor artists painting different types of subject matter.  Your class-time can then be devoted to the pursuit of ideas, techniques or subjects you find most appealing.   And best of all, everyone in class gets to learn from your experiences.  Your perspective will surely change, and when the cold winds blow later this year, you'll have the color inspiration from your class-time to continue your creative journeys.
Juli Sibley is a designer, teacher and writer from Young Harris, Ga.  As a young student at YHC many of her inspirations for art came from the natural beauty of this valley.  Her latest book, "Earth Friendly Fabric Design" is available worldwide on Amazon.  She holds a MA in Fine Art from Western Carolina University.   Most recently, she has been a member of the art faculty at Augusta State University where she taught the art history section of World Humanities.
