Event Description:
THE WAR THAT CHANGED THE WORLD – SKETCHES OF WORLD WAR I 
This course will focus on four areas of interest during WWI.  Week one includes a look at German history and the origins of the Great War.  Week two highlights the  major battles and personalities.  Week three will be a review the effects of the war and its aftermath.  Week four will be dedicated to Remembrance Day and the end of hostilities of World War I in 1918.  We will also focus on the literature and poetry of war.  With the 100th anniversary of the Great War, new interpretations have been published giving the layman food for thought.
 
William Graham has a layman’s interest in the Great War.  He is a member of the British Western Front Association and has toured the Western Front several times.  William has been in the book business for over 30 years and presently sells history, military and general stock used and out of print books at the Hiawassee Antique Mall and Lakeview Vintage Market.
