Mountain Shape Note Singing Pioneers of Union County Religious Music Awards It’s time once again for the Union County Historical Society to remember and honor those who have contributed to shaped-note singing in Union County. Shaped-note singing has long been, and still is, practiced in Union County. On February 25, 2012 a program featuring shaped-note singing and honoring those who have made contributions to its development in Union County will be held in The Old Courthouse on the Square at 2:00 p.m.February 25, 2012 2:00 p.m. Singing sponsored by the Union County Historical Society and the Union County Singing Convention
