One of the most beautiful parks in the North Georgia Mountains is Meeks Park. This park is home to a plethora of outdoor activities that supply the entire family with something to enjoy, from seven ballfields, a skateboard park, walking trails, and a disc golf course. It’s dog friendly, with a special dog park just across the road! With Butternut Creek and Nottely River running through the park for a scenic picnic view, this is a great destination for friends and family to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Not only is it one of Georgia’s oldest state parks, it’s located at the base of Blood Mountain in the Chattahoochee National Forest. With more than 223 acres, and a 22-acre lake, the views at Vogel State Park are unforgettable. Visit Trahlyta Falls waterfall, which spills from the park’s Trahlyta Lake.
