DESCRIPTION:13th Annual Sunny D Children's Theater Summer Drama & Musical Theater Camp Proudly presents THEATER AROUND THE WORLD June 9 - 22\, 2014 Sunny D Children's Theater Camp now in its 13th consecutive year provides Children and Youth a fun creative theater experience under the direction of our Executive Director\, Patricia Webb.  Campers have a choice of two fabulous day camp experiences\, Drama Camp or Musical Theater Camp\, held at two convenient locations: the Kiwanis Fairgrounds Building & the Blue Ridge Community Theater. \n\n \n\nThe two-week Drama Camp (9:00 am - 2:00 pm) is packed full of fun with an emphasis on theater technique and performance. Our excellent teaching\, directing\, and theater expertise enhances skills\, encourages cooperative work\, and nurtures self-confidence.  Children and youth\, ages 5 to 18 with any level of experience\, will have the unique opportunity to explore the wonders of the theatrical experience with other like-spirited young people.  Students will explore performance techniques in comedy\, improvisation\, character analysis\, rhythm and timing. \n\nDrama Camp Tuition is only $200.00.  Scholarships are available.\n\n \n\nThe two week Musical Theater Camp (9:00 am   4:00 pm) is for students ages 10 -18 at the Blue Ridge Community Theater.  Youth will be trained in Solo and Chorus Song\, Dance and Drama by professional instructors who have appeared on Broadway and throughout the country.  Musical Theater Camp is for students with experience in voice and dance who wish to learn more and enhance their theatrical ability. \n\nMusical Theater Camp Tuition is only $250.00.  Scholarships are available.\n\n \n\nAll Sunny D Campers will be challenged to grow artistically by qualified\, professional artists and teachers who nurture and support their talents and skills through performance and creativity. Each camp activity has its own area and is equipped to professional standards.
