SUMMARY:Annual Thru Hiker Season Kick Off Party
DESCRIPTION:Each year as thru hikers begin to their North Bound journeys to Maine\, we host a party with live music\, food\, fun for the whole family\, a gear raffle and gear demonstrations by outdoor product companies.\n\nThis year's fun includes live music\, a s'mores making station and hotdogs on the grill\, face painting and a scavenger hunt for the kiddos and so much more!\n\nWe will hold a gear raffle benefiting GATC (Georgia Appalachian Trail Club). Gear will include anything from day packs\, dog packs\, clothing\, water bottles\, cookware and much\, much more. Raffle Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at Mountain Crossings\, on the day of the event or by mailed checks (made to GATC). It is not necessary to be present to win.\n\nWe will also have numerous outdoor vendors that will have their own booths and prizes! Stayed tuned for a list of those vendors!\n\nCome join Mountain Crossing at the historic Walasi-Yi Center for a day of reveling in the mountains and celebrating the vibrant culture of the Appalachian Trail!\n\nOUR PARKING LOT IS VERY SMALL!
