DESCRIPTION:10am - 4pm Butt - Mock Open House by the Society  free! \n\nFrom 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM\, there will be an Open House in the restored Butt-Mock House (1906) at the Mountain Life Museum Center. The house has been restored\, and is in the process of being furnished in "Early TVA" style\, or how a typical upper-level life-style home would have been furnished in the early 1940's\, That would be the tine when electricity came to the area.\n\nIncluded in the Open House will be the Payne Cabin (1861) which represents Union County life in the mid-1800's\, the farmstead which represents out-buildings most local farmers had in the 1800s. Currently\, it's a blacksmith shop\, corn crib\, barn\, and spring house.\n\n1pm-3pm Santa Claus * before the Parade\,  free! \n\nFrom 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the courtroom of The Old Courthouse\, children will line up to see Santa. Feel free to bring your own camera. We can print our photographer's photos while you wait\, and/or\, our photographer's photos will be on an on-line blog to be downloaded for free.\n\n4pm - 6pm  Christmas Parade with the arrival of Santa Claus. \n\nAt 3:45pm children are invited to open the parade by singing "Let It Go"\n\n5pm    Caroling\n\n6pm Tree Lighting \n\n\n\nComplimentary refreshments will be served. Enjoy cookies\, cakes and drinks! All of the exhibits at The Old Courthouse will be open during the day.
