The shop will be stocked with a large assortment of cupcakes\, cakes\, and other desserts.  Shoppers will also be able to place orders for wedding\, birthday\, or other special event cakes.\n\n\n\n            "This is truly a wonderful milestone for our cakery\," said Dixie Confexions Partner Jody Atkins. "Baking and decorating have been our passion for so long\, and we are thrilled that we will have a local shop to expand our reach even further."\n\n\n\n            Store hours will be Tuesday through Friday\, 10:00am-6:00pm\, Saturday\, 10:00am-4:00pm\, and Sunday\, 12:00pm-4:00pm.\n\n\n\nAbout Dixie Confexions\n\n        Dixie Confexions is Blairsville's newest hometown cakery where decadence meets imagination. Dixie specializes in cakes for every occasion\, birthdays\, weddings\, corporate events\, and more.  It also features a signature line of cupcakes that will please even the most exacting taste buds.  Our custom cake recipes are inspired by family traditions that span decades\; however\, the magic doesn't stop with the cake.  It extends to our special icing flavors and designs.  They are baked from scratch using only the finest ingredients.\n\n \n\n            Jody and Ricky Atkins launched the business about five months ago\, after a 20-year career in the hospitality industry planning national conferences\, trade shows\, and special events.  As Head Chef\, Ricky constructs the cake flavors and recipes while Culinary Designer\, Jody\, forms the icing pairings and decorations.  Dixie Confexions is a Cottage Food.
