The program begins at 7:00 P.M.\n\n \n\nCedar Grove Grass got its name for the community where\, for years\, Ruth West and her late husband\, Gene\, hosted music in the Cedar Grove Community Center. Ruth lives part of the time in Blairsville and part of the time in Fairburn. She sings tenor and plays the doghouse bass. She is also the pianist for her church. \n\n\n\nTommy Nations plays guitar\, mandolin\, and sings lead. He has played with a number of bands over a thirty-year span. These bands include The Ridge Runners\, Honey Creek Boys\, Big Country\, and the Raccoon Creek All-Stars\, as well as Cedar Grove Grass.\n\n\n\nGene Terry has played guitar for over forty years and sings both lead and bass. He also plays the banjo. \n\n \n\nDon Winebarger from Monticello\, GA plays banjo. He has played with a number of bluegrass bands over the years\, and still does.\n\n\n\nCedar Grove Grass is on a mission to keep traditional bluegrass music alive by playing and promoting it in its original style.\n\n \n\nThe summer concerts are presented by the Union County Historical Society as a public service and to keep alive the tradition of music in The Old Courthouse.
