DESCRIPTION:The GA DOT is conducting a 'comment' meeting on August 25 from 5-7 pm at the Woody Gap School concerning the proposed repair of a bridge on Hwy\n\n180 which will cause the bridge to be closed for at least one year. \n\nNeedless to say this will cause great hardship to the residents in the Suches area and will have an economic impact not only on the Suches area but also Blairsville.\n\nObviously\, if the bridge needs repair\, we want to make sure that those who travel Hwy 180 do so safely\, but is there a way to repair the bridge without having to shut it down for a year?\n\nWe believe that the residents of Union County need to make their views concerning the proposed bridge closing to the GA DOT.
