DESCRIPTION:Course Instructor - Jerry Taylor\n\nThe purpose of this course is to acquaint you with Georgia's history from1732 to1865. Major themes to be considered will be the colonial beginnings\, the American Revolution\, removal of the Indians\, and the Civil War.\n\n\n\nJerry Taylor is a native of Towns County\, having lived in the shadow of Brasstown Bald all his life. He graduated from Towns County High School and YHC. He holds degrees from UGA\, North Georgia College and State University\, and Lincoln Memorial University. Jerry is retired after thirty-three years as a public school teacher.\n\nHe is a member of the Historical Society and is Towns County's official historian. \n\nHe is a professional organist having served local churches for fifty years. His home\, known as "The Organ Loft" features his collection of antique reed organs.
