DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Annual Thru Hiker Season Kick Off Party! Each year as thru hikers begin to their North Bound journeys to Maine\, we host a party with live music\, food\, fun for the whole family\, a gear raffle and gear demonstrations by outdoor product companies. \n\n\n\nThis year's fun includes good ol' bluegrass pickin' from 1pm to 5pm by Wyatt Espalin and Friends\, a s'mores making station and hotdogs on the grill\, face painting and a scavenger hunt for the kiddos and so much more! \n\n\n\nWe will hold a gear raffle benefitting the A.T. History Project and disaster relief in Gatlinburg\, TN. Gear will include anything from daypacks\, hydropacks\, clothing\, water bottles\, cookware and much\, much more. Raffle Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at Mountain Crossings\, on the day of the event or by mailed checks. It is not necessary to be present to win\, but you must retrieve your items from Mountain Crossings at a later time. \n\n\n\nCome join Mountain Crossing at the historic Walasi-Yi Center for a day of reveling in the mountains and celebrating the vibrant culture of the Appalachian Trail!\n\n\n\nOUR PARKING LOT IS VERY SMALL!
