DESCRIPTION:Hundreds of people line the streets to see the floats\, bands and other crowd pleasers.   There will be a new parade route this year.  Blairsville Sorghum Festival Parade Saturday October 14th starting @ 11:00 am rain or shine!! We will be giving out prizes for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place winners for parade floats this year!!!! The 2017 Parade theme is "WE SALUTE OUR UNION COUNTY FARMERS." If you are interested in being a part of the parade just show up 9:00 a.m Saturday\, October 14th at the Old Middle School gym with your floats ready to be judged by 9:30. Please note that our Parade route has changed! Please share to help us to get the word out that we will NO LONGER BE GOING DOWN THE FOUR LANE!! The new route will be the same except we will NOT turn on Earnest Street \, but will continue past First Baptist Church and then turn Left\, going past UC Library\, The Old Nursing Home\, and Cochran Funeral Home. We will the continue on to Kimsey Street and back to the old Middle School Gym.
