SUMMARY:Tri-County Women's Connection Luncheon & Program
DESCRIPTION:The Other Vitamin C: Chocolate Have you ever craved fine chocolates? If the answer is yes\, we have great news for you! Chocolatier Paul John Kearins will be the feature presenter at the Tri-County Women?s Connection luncheon on Wednesday\, June 3rd\, at Monet?s Restaurant. Paul John studied pastry and chocolate in London\, England. As a Dutch citizen\, he expanded his career in Amsterdam and the Netherlands. He then worked on commission in the islands of the Dutch Caribbean\, where he created a Bonbon for the 2011 State Visit of Princess Beatrix\, King Willem Alexander\, and Queen Maxima. He was the featured chocolatier at the annual Spring Chocolate Festival in Provincetown\, MA two times\; and has many other chocolate accomplishments to his credit. Paul John?s goal is to create unsurpassed flavor combinations while maintaining the unique identity of chocolate. He believes that the integrity of the chocolate should be preserved visually and that the first bite should be chocolate\, followed by the other flavors. Chocolatasm\, his company\, offers pieces that are hand formed\, not molded\, and sized to be savored and slowly and totally enjoyed. Paul John now creates wonderful chocolate confections in Blue Ridge\, GA\, where he now lives. His presentation at the TCWC luncheon will cover the making of fine chocolates from cacao production to the final end product: a delicious Bonbon. There may even be a small sample! Music will be provided by Paula Jean Redditt\, of Blairsville. She has been playing the Violin for thirteen years\, and has lived in Blairsville for 31 years. Paula Jean tutors in a private school\, ?The Joy of Learning?\, owned by her friend\, Joy Vansant\, with whom she also enjoys playing Violins.
