DESCRIPTION:Union County Farmers Market Community Flower Show\n\n\n\nOpen to the Public on Friday\, August 7th from 2pm-5pm and Saturday\, August 8th from 9am-3pm.\n\n\n\nEntries accepted Thursday\, August 6\, from 1pm - 5pm and on Friday\, August 7\, from 9am - 11am and limited to exhibitors from Union\, Fannin\, Towns\, & Lumpkin counties of Georgia\; and Clay & Cherokee counties of North Carolina.  All qualified entries are welcomed.  No Entry Fee\n\nWho Should Enter?        \n\nThis is a community show\, all members of the community are encouraged to enter their horticulture.  Adults and children of all ages are welcomed to enter a variety of classes.  Entries to consider include cut flowers\, container/house plants\, hanging baskets/containers\, bonsai & native plants.  Shrubs in containers no larger than 16" in diameter.   \n\n  \n\n2015 General Rules for all entries except the Design Category \n\nExhibitors may enter more than one exhibit\; but in only one class or subclass provided each exhibit is of a different cultivar\, color or type.\n\n\n\nContainers for cut specimens will be provided to the exhibitor at time of registration.  Cut specimens can not exceed 30-inches in length.\n\n\n\nExhibitors must grow their horticulture and correctly identify plant material with the common and botanical names on the entry form.  Plant identification assistance will be available at registration.\n\n\n\nPlants must have been in exhibitors' possession at least 90 days\, be pest and disease free and in a pot no larger than 16" in diameter.\n\n\n\nNo coloring of fresh plant material is permitted.\n\n\n\nWild collected plants of species listed as "endangered" may not be used.  Cultivated material is permitted.\n\n\n\nThe flower show committee will exercise due care\, but is not responsible for breakage or loss.\n\n\n\nJudging will take place between 12:30 - 2:00 pm on Friday\, August 7\, 2015.
