1st Annual Junior Mauney Thumb Picking Guitar Concert
The Union County Historical Society is hosting a finger-picking concert in memory of Jr. Mauney on Friday, February 15th at 7:00 P.M. in the Old Courthouse on the Square in Blairsville.
As usual, there is no admission charge. The musicians donate their time and talents. Voluntary contributions to the maintenance fund are always welcomed and appreciated.
Several musicians will participate in the program that will cover all kinds of finger-picking from blues to hound dog to classical music.
Clyde Mauney. Jr. was one of the first people in Union County to start playing the guitar in the finger-picking style of Chet Atkins.
