will witness the scene that took place in an upper room in Jerusalem the night before Jesus Christ was crucified. The Italian painter, Leonardo da Vinci, was one of history’s most astonishing artistic interpreters of the Christian faith. The drama is patterned after his painting, “The Last Supper.” In it, Leonardo captures an electric moment that took place at this Passover meal. Jesus has just told his apostles that one of them will betray him. In that moment, they are startled, each in a different way, by this tragic pronouncement. Each one will relate to us how he came to follow Christ and what Christ means to him and ultimately ask the question of himself, “Is It I?” All of these experiences will be shared with those in attendance, along with musical interludes. After Jesus institutes the sacrament of Holy Communion with his apostles, there will be an opportunity for all to be served Holy Communion by eight of the apostles. This will be a meaningful evening of sharing the events that took place during Holy Week. All are invited.
