“ARTIST RECEPTION OPEN TO THE PUBLIC SUN., JULY 15”
YOUNG HARRIS, GA---Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m., the Art of Gold Gallery features Carol Duckworth, of Blairsville, GA, as the Artist of the Month. Duckworth has been painting most of her life and after she left Georgia State College, has studied with many noted artists nationwide. She has also taken courses at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA and many workshops during her artistic career. The Gallery is located at 5010 Hwy 76, Young Harris, just north of Brasstown Valley Resort and will be open Sunday, July 15 for this special event.The Artists’ Reception Sunday will include the live music of flautist Anne Merkel of Mineral Bluff, GA, and pianist Dawn Davis of Blue Ridge, GA . Both musicians were classically trained and now arrange, compose, and play by ear. Besides the wonderful artwork of Duckworth there will be other artists’ work there plus ample refreshments and cool beverages.
