Contra Dance with David Glick and Cross Town Traffic
Part of our twice monthly community dance series.
David Glick formerly from Michigan, now from Greensboro, has called throughout the southeast, mid-west and Canada.
Cross Town Traffic plays a mix of New-England style and old-time Appalachian tunes. Their singular sound comes from the traditional Irish combination of fiddle (Mike Robinson), wooden flute (Bill Porter) and mandolin (Brian Donohue), lifted by the driving guitar of Brian Baker. CTT keeps the dancers' engines humming and the floor traffic zooming.
Beginners, singles and couples welcome.
Beginners should come promptly at 8 pm, since we start with easier dances and more teaching.
