Young Harris College will host the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra as part of the annual "Fay Harmon Clegg Hoag Concert Series." Fyodor Cherniavsky will be conducting. Prior to the performance, Professor of Music and Dean of the Division of Fine Arts Benny Ferguson, Ph.D., will present a concert preview at 5 p.m. in Wilson Lecture Hall of Goolsby Center. This special event is sponsored by the Institute for Continuing Learning at Young Harris College and is also free and open to the public.
Sergio Gallo will be featured as pianist in Schumann's Piano Concerto. The program also includes Coriolan Overture by Beethoven, Serenade for Winds by Dvorak and Valse Romantique by Sibelius.
