The jointly sponsored Lunch and Learn, Mountain Regional Library System and the Blairsville VA Clinic, announce a special program for February. The program will be presented by members of the Misty Mountain Quilters on The Quilts of Valor Foundation. Themission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover all combat service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. Quilts of Valor are stitched with love, prayers and healing thoughts. Combat troops who have been touched by war are awarded this tangible token of appreciation that unequivocally says, “Thank you for your service, sacrifice and valor.” After the program sixteen veterans will be presented a Quilt as a thank you for their time in war.
