Our speaker, Dr. Scott NeSmith, will discuss appropriate cultivars, planting and care of blueberries. He will enlighten us on the best management practices of blueberries in our Southern Appalachian back yards. Weather permitting, seminar attendees will have the opportunity to visit the blueberry trials in the orchard at the Georgia Mountain Research & Education Center. Dr. Scott NeSmith is a Horticulture Professor and Blueberry researcher with The University of Georgia. He is a member of the American Society for Horticultural Science and the International Society for Horticultural Science. Dr. NeSmith has received two awards for outstanding publications, and has received the D.W. Brooks Award for Excellence in Research from UGA.
