Please tell me you aren't one of those people who think bats are creepy. Our seminar speakers this month will be giving a presentation which will help us understand that most of what we think we know about bats is wrong. Our speaker, LaDale Trimble, along with her husband Ray, will be giving a presentation, which will help everyone understand how important bats are to their lives. Bats are considered so important that the United Nations has declared 2011 & 2012 "The Year of the Bat". Hopefully, once we realize all bats do for us, we will want to help ensure that bats are protected and provided a healthy environment. Informational brochures from BCI (Bat Conservation International) will be distributed to those in attendance.
