Haven’t you ever looked at a table decoration and wished you could fashion something like it? Come to this free seminar, where our speaker, Ms. Marta Mead will demonstrate how to create uncommon flower arrangements from common materials, and not necessarily all plant materials. Marta’s arrangements are not typical, plain-Jane fare, but unique and inventive. In this seminar, Marta will provide attendees with information on flowering times, container choices and supplies. Both casual and elegant, more formal arrangements will be discussed. In addition, she will give us hints on what NOT to do, because sometimes that is more helpful. Our speaker, Marta Mead received her degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. She has worked at the Georgia Mountain Research & Education Center since it was called the Georgia Mountain Branch Station. She has worked on countless research projects both in the field and in the greenhouse, including perennial evaluations and Georgia Gold Medal evaluations. Her expertise and knowledge make her an invaluable source of information for the GMRE Center.
