This season, in keeping with gospel music being some of the first and always popular music in The Old Courthouse, The opening concert will be done by a very talented local person, Alan Kendall. Alan lives in Young Harris and grew up in the Woods Grove Community. He has been involved in gospel music all of his life and is acclaimed by some of the best in the business.
Alan's credits are too numerous to list here, but he has performed with some of the leading groups in gospel music, including a long stint with The Melody Boys Quartet. Today he sings lead with a Taylorsville, NC group, "Jordan's Bridge." He also has an active solo career and adds songs from the country, pop, and bluegrass genres to his individual concerts.
