Bob Valentine is known as America's best Scottish Master of Ceremonies. On the road to earning this title, Bob has performed with Alex Beaton, Smithfield Fair, Colin Grant-Adams, Seven Nations, Ian Bruce, and many more. His skills range from comedian and story teller to lecturer and author. In 2008, he published his first recording of Scottish jokes and tales, "I'll Take the Low Road." His most recent book of humor, "Seasons," is published by Caledonian Press, and is available at Barnes and Nobel.com. A most popular and in demand M/C and comedian, we welcome back to Blairsville Scottish Festival and Highland Games the one and only "Bob Valentine!!"
Colin Grant-Adams. born and raised near Winchester, England in a predominantly Scottish community, was exposed to the culture and heritage that would shape his career. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, and a gifted musician himself, Colin’s father was an early influence n his musical career.
Colin’s musical performance is a tribute to Scotland in song and stories from the battle songs of a distant land, the haunting beauty of her misty covered glens, to the exploits of the people. Take the three Scottish tenors and roll them into one, and you have Colin Grant-Adams. This phenomenal Scots entertainer with his exuberating vocals, intricate fiery guitarand irresistible humor holds his audiences spellbound.
He has performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall to concert venues and stages around the world. In 1996, the Glasgow Highland Games of Kentucky awarded Colin an Artist in Residence Fellowship in Celtic music, enabling him to study, compose and record music about the early-century Scots who arrived in America bringing with them a wealth of culture. It was through the residency that Colin came to relocate to the United States and the Glasgow, Kentucky area.
