Guided Tours of the Cannery Interpretive Center, Ethnobotanic Gardens and Woodland Medicine Trail. The southern Appalachians have an astounding array of native flora, many of which are highlighted in these Gardens. Learn about how our ancestors and Native Americans used plants for food, fiber and medicine. See which “weeds” may be home to valuable pollinators. Guided Tours are provided by our fabulous Garden Guides in a beautiful setting. Please do not bring pets of any kind.

Location
University of Georgia’s Mountain Research & Education Center. The GMRE Center is located 3 miles south of Blairsville, on Hwy 19/129. Follow the signs to the gardens.
