If anyone has ever told you “You’re not playing with a full deck”, this game is for you! Come join us to learn a fun card game: Euchre. It originated over 150 years ago among the Pennsylvania Dutch peoples. Euchre involves a 4 handed partnership that can be adapted for 3 players. This is a fun game that plays with less than a full deck of cards and the jacks- known as Bauers (German for farmers) are the high cards. Try your luck and learn a skilled game with strategy
Jill moved to the area 16+ years ago looking for a haven that reminded her of the Adirondacks of NY. Ta da!: Hayesville with blue water green mountains and no snow to shovel! She enjoys puttering in her yard, drinking wine with friends and her grandkids.
Shelley arrived in Hiawassee in 2014 after teaching Mathematics in the suburbs of Atlanta. Originally from Massachusetts, she moved south after college to be an Art Gallery Director, but soon met her future husband keeping her below the Mason-Dixon Line. After starting a family, she began her teaching career.
