Learn how to develop financial strategies that will propel your business to the next level! Maximum Money is an interactive course that meets for 10 hours over a five week period.

Week 1:  Money 101: Where Do You Stand?
Participants will be introduced to the budgeting process and will learn to use forecasting models to generate budgets and projected income and expenses.  Using historical data, industry standards, and trends for forecasting and analysis will be a major topic of the session. 
 
Week 2:  Understanding Financial Statements
This session will focus on understanding the different financial statements and using them to do analysis and make management decisions about the business.  The Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, and Balance Sheet will be discussed. 
 
Week 3:  Improving Cash Flow and Boosting Profits
This session focuses on developing strategies to improve cash flow and boost profits.  Participants will gain a clear understanding of the difference between cash flow and profits.  They will be exposed to a wide variety of techniques they can use to improve both of these critical aspects of their business. 
 
Week 4:  Managing by the Numbers
This interactive session focuses on using forecasting models to analyze “what if” scenarios.  Participants will identify strategies to improve cash and profits and look at the projected effects of implementing these strategies.  They will also learn how to use budgets to identify potential cash shortfall or surpluses and to develop strategies to address these situations.  Participants will learn to create and analyze ratios using historical data and industry information through a variety of hands on exercises and instruction.
 
Week 5:  Developing a Strategic Financial Focus
Participants will have developed a financial forecast for their business and analyzed the effect of implementing a number of cash and profit boosting scenarios.  In this session they discuss the strategies they plan to implement and how they plan to overcome potential cash related issues.  Participants will explore break even analysis, scorecards, dashboards, and more.
