Meet the Artisans at ArtWorks

During the month of February, ArtWorks Artisan Centre is featuring its twenty-nine artisans who have work for sale in the store. On February l9th from 10AM -2PM, the public is invited to come and "Meet the Artisans" who are exhibiting samples of their work. The exhibit will include decorative baskets and gourds; crocheting, hooked wool, quilts and other needlework creations; decorative painting on both porcelain and wood; pottery, stained glass, wood-carvings, sculpture, furniture, and loom-woven pieces.

ArtWorks is owned and supported by the non- profit Mountain Regional Arts and Crafts Guild, which was established in 1986. The Guild's objectives are to provide an opportunity for persons in the community who are interested in arts and crafts to pursue higher standards of performance and accomplishments and to encourage cooperation among members to promote education and exchange of ideas in the local community. ArtWorks offers classes in various arts and crafts for both adults and children . Their Summer Program for Children has been extremely popular and well-supported by local businesses.
