The Mountain Regional Library System has recently partnered with the Blairsville VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) and the Georgia State Department of Veteran Affairs to offer educational seminars to veterans of Northeast Georgia. The program was developed to assist the substantial veteran population of the region on how to navigate the VA system of services. The seminars, which are offered at each of the Mountain Regional library branches, reach out to our veterans by including a variety of topics , including the online health management system, Tele-health program, nutrition and other healthcare services that the Blairsville VA  CBOC team offers.
This first seminar is for those veterans who are currently enrolled in the VA healthcare system.  Future seminars will be facilitated by the Georgia State Veterans Office in Blairsville and will cover benefits and enrollment. 
These first seminars will be held during the week of March 12^th with sessions held at each Library Branch (Fannin County 3/12 706-632-5263, Towns County 3/13 706-896-6169, MRLS Young Harris 3/14 706-379-1327, and Union County 3/15 706-745-7491) from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.  Join the Blairsville VA team to explore the online health system, sign up for My Healthy Vet and learn how to use Secure Messaging.
