On Wednesday, June 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the hospital lobby. Union General Hospital's Auxiliary is hosting their NEW-TO-YOU PURSE SALE. Purses have been donated by local merchants, auxiliary members and friends. Over 150 purses are available. New purses are 75% off retail price and slightly used purses will be sold for $5.00 to $10.00. Some of the name brands which will be sold are Nine West, Chanel, Coach, Stone Mountain, Louis Vuittan, Liz Claiborne and many others. With the economy being so bad, the auxiliary hopes that a new purse at a very low price will make a small difference. The purpose of the sale is to raise money to give back to the community. All the money will be used to help at the nursing home and the hospital and to provide scholarships to local health care students. Cash and checks only. No credit cards accepted.
