Come on out to the Union County Farmers Market to enjoy Ramp Day.  In addition to the good ole fashion ramps the Cattlemen Association will be giving out free beef samples and some farmers will have the new seasons strawberries.  So much to enjoy in one day!!!    The Historical Society will also be giving out free dahlia bulbs as well honoring ALVIN D. TODD on his 30 year passing.  Mr Todd was a "green thumb" when it came to growing dahlias and helped with the beauty they have created around Union County since the early 1930's.  If you get your dahlia bulbs planted as soon as possible after May 5th, they should be starting to bloom the week of August 6th.  You will be welcome to bring a bouquet to the old courthouse for display and to honor Mr. Todd's legacy during that week.
