Ribbon Cutting - Old Union Golf Course

The Chamber would like to invite you to a Ribbon Cutting on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 5:15pm for Old Union Golf Course at Owen Glen Subdivision in Blairsville. Festivities with refreshments will begin @4:45pm and go until 6:30pm. Feel free to come by anytime during those hours.

 

Come share with us a New Adventure in Golf. Nestled in the foothills of Blairsville comes a golf experience like no other. At the center of the project stands Old Union, a golf course designed by world renowned architect Denis Griffiths. The 7,667 yard masterpiece offers shot makers of all abilities the chance to play a golf course with a true Scottish feel. With five different sets of tees, golfers will be able to choose a set of tees that best suites them.

Old Union offers one of the premier practice facilities in the North Georgia Mountains, with a double tiered grass range that stretches 400 yards, 2 separate short game target greens and a full putting green. A well equipped Pro Shop awaits you upon arrival. Golf lessons and clinics are also available though Director of Golf, Ryan Scott, PGA Professional.

 

DIRECTIONS:  
Old Union is located 9 miles north of Blairsville, Georgia off Murphy Highway. Take Highway 129 Murphy Highway north out of Blairsville to first traffic light. Turn right on Ivy Log Road and follow 2.2 miles. The entrance to Owen Glen and Old Union will be on the right side of Ivy Log Road. Follow signs to Owen Glen. Old Union Golf Shop is now open in the new clubhouse.
