SHAMROCK DULCIMER BLAST CONCERT
Union County Historical Society hosts the North Georgia Foothills Dulcimer Association's Shamrock Blast being organized by Mountain Sounds and Mountain Sweets, two Blairsville NGFDA groups.
The Event kicks off with a Friday Night Concert featuring Stephen Seifert, nationally known dulcimer performer and teacher.
Saturday at the Civic Center, Seifert will conduct dulcimer workshops. Informaton will be posted on the Historical Society website: www.unioncountyhistory.org/dulcimerblast/html. Workshops are open to interested students.
At the Old Courthouse on Saturday afternoon at 2pm, there will be Open Mike Performances and a 7pm Concert with Seifert and In Town Down Home, NGFDA Atlanta's group which performs at the Atlanta History Center.
Everyone is welcome at the evening concerts and the open mike afernoon performances.
