Dr. Heather Welch will be presenting on Jane Blasio's book, Taken at Birth. In her investigation to learn more about her birth parents, Blasio uncovered that she was one of hundreds of babies that Dr. Thomas J. Hicks illegally sold in an illicit adoption scheme from his clinic - located in nearby McCaysville, Georgia - from the 1940s through the 1960s. Copies of Blasio's book are available for checkout in the library, or can be purchased at your favorite local book store! This FREE presentation is for adults only, and seating is limited.
