Tri-County Women's Connection Luncheon

The Tri-County Women’s Connection 1^st Wednesday luncheon is excited to welcome you and your friends to a fun-filled afternoon on October 2 at Monet’s Garden Room, 135 Blue Ridge Street, Blairsville. Our Special Feature Guest, Laurel Adams from The Peacock Playhouse, will share the history and future of this crown jewel of the mountains. From gothic thrillers, intimate concerts, comedians and dance classes, The Peacock Playhouse in Hayesville, NC is a performing arts venue serving Western North Carolina and North Georgia.

Our Music for the day will be provided by Delga Cox wasn’t born belting out tunes but she didn’t wait long, making her singing debut at age two! Growing up, Delga sang with her family and attended music camp. For two years, she was a part of the Josan Singers. Later she and her husband, Steve, performed together. Delga was a Technician with AT&T Communications and retired in 1977. Get ready for a special musical treat!

Our life experiences can shape who we are and what we become. Guest Speaker Amanda Alexander from Marble, NC, says “seasons of her life” led her to a 20-year career as a certified Grief & Trauma Counselor. At the request of law enforcement and EMS personnel, Amanda visits accident scenes and the ER to speak with families during traumatic situations. A widow with four sons, Amanda will soon begin a new “season” of her life—as a first-time grandmother! Don’t miss meeting this interesting lady!
