LADIES LUNCHEON – MORE THAN JUST A CUPCAKE! On Wednesday, February 7th, you and your friends are invited to enjoy a ladies luncheon. Also included - a program showcasing a local business, Dixie Confexions, a great musician, a dynamic speaker, and door prizes! Jody Atkins of Dixie Confexions, a gourmet bakery located on Blairsville’s Town Square, will share her amazing and miraculous personal journey. The special love story of Jody and husband Ricky is the “icing on the cake.” Dixie Confexions was born from their combined love for baking, making others happy, and their love of Georgia. And of course, Jody will tell us about the incredibly yummy cakes, pies, cookies and custom items you can enjoy as a personal splurge or for that special occasion! Jody and her husband run the business together, have been married since 2011, and have a 23 year old daughter. She attained her Master’s Degree from the University of Georgia, is President of Mountain Networking Referral Group, Board Member for the Humane Society Mountain Shelter, and a Member of Tristate Business Women. Her hobbies are reading and crocheting. Our musical guest is local soloist Pam Keough. Pam’s smooth and velvet alto voice is pure pleasure! She is a graduate of Southeastern College, has sung with various groups in the Bahamas, Scotland, Germany and Ukraine, and enjoys teaching piano. Another love story along life’s path, Pam met and married the boy next door, Kevin, in 1981. They live in Blairsville and enjoy spending time with family and friends. “A Case of Mistaken Identity” is Anne B. Say’s story told with humor, honesty and encouragement. Anne is a recognized author, speaker and coach with a passion to help women experience all life has to offer. Anne had varied careers - from medical office management to teaching special education. She has many interests - singing, writing, photography, and crafting, (a passion passed on from her mother) and enjoying friends and family. Born in New York State, she now lives in Powder Springs, Georgia with her husband Terry. Together they love traveling in their new camper. Join us Wednesday, February 7th at Monet’s in Blairsville, 130 Blue Ridge Street. The cost is $15(cash/check) and includes buffet, drink, dessert, tip, and a great program.
