Have a Boot Stomping Good Time at TCWC Luncheon These boots are made for walking, and everything else you want to do in style! Tri-County Women’s Connection will have a boot fashion show, presented by Alexander’s Store, as the feature presentation at our luncheon on Wednesday, October 5th at 12 noon at Monet’s Café in Blairsville. This fashion show will bring you the newest and most fashionable trends in boots that Alexander’s carries! Alexander’s Store, founded in 1953 by Hoyt and Ruby Alexander, started as a small general store. It is still family owned, but has grown to include 50,000 square feet of space. It now offers a vast array of top name and styles of clothing, footwear, furniture, appliances, gifts, accessories, and a large assortment of sporting goods in one huge store! The family’s deeply held values and long held traditions are woven through the whole Alexander’s Store experience! Musical entertainment will be provided by Eric Purser, playing his Trumpet. Eric started playing the Trumpet in fourth grade, and has been giving performances ever since! He has studied at UGA, Columbus State University, and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He taught middle school band for eight years prior to moving to Blairsville six years ago. When not working as Associate Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Blairsville, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, and their two sons, Ethan and Evan. Ilene McLaughlin will tell us her story of, “Restoration: The Ultimate Gift of Love”. As a young teenager, Ilene attempted to take her life because of feelings of having no purpose. She felt unloved and unappreciated. As an adult, she became successful by outward standards, but secretly battled fear and despair. The turning point in her life will be revealed in her personal story! Please make your reservations to attend by Monday, October 3rd, and bring a friend or two! Join the fun by wearing your favorite boots! The cost of $11.00 is all inclusive. Please pay by check or cash.
