We are delighted to welcome Abby Watts, a Blairsville native, as our musical guest. Abby currently attends Liberty University majoring in Business Administration and Communications. When she graduates, Abby wants to open either a counseling service or wedding planning business. Abby loves singing, swimming, coaching upward sports and teaching kids dance, but her favorite pastime is spending time with friends. Along with sister, Courtney, proud parents are Chris and Kathy Watts and grandparents, Larry and Loni Kemp and Harrison and Grace Watts. Come hear this delightful young lady entertain us. Our Feature and Speaker Guest is Carol Frey from Norcross, GA. Carol is a special education teacher by degree, a homemaker, family C.O. and procurement specialist. Carol was born in Huntington, West Virginia and is happily married to her husband of 39 years. They have two married sons, a daughter and three granddaughters. In our world today, there is a lot of focus on beauty. However, Carol says that, "Beauty: It's Not Only Skin Deep" and she will show us how we can make the beauty around us a part of our lives and how to allow the beauty within us to shine. Carol is a freelance writer with publications in Accent Gwinnett Magazine and Net News Magazine. She is also the author of two humorous cookbooks, Have You Considered Cooking? and The Grits Shall Rise Again. The books propose certain rules such as "It's a recipe, not a law. If what you've cooked doesn't look like the picture in the cookbook, then rip the picture out of the cookbook...next time buy a book with no pictures. For the last 30 years Carol has been cooking for family and friends all of whom have enjoyed the food, asked for more, and lived to tell about it. Carol will be a vendor at the upcoming Sweetheart Show at the Brasstown Valley Resort on February 15-16. Our luncheons are always fun with good food and friendship! If the Union County schools are closed due to inclement weather, we will cancel our luncheon. Follow us on Facebook..Tri-County Women's Connection of North GA.
