LIBRARIES- FUN & FREE! Need a peaceful and beautiful place with endless reading materials, free computer access, and a helpful staff? Visit one of the libraries in the Mountain Regional Library System! Dyana Costello-Banks, the Mountain Regional Library System's Training and Outreach Coordinator, is our Feature program guest at the Tri-County Women?s Connection luncheon on Wednesday, April 8th at noon at Monet?s Café. Dyana's presentation will cover what the library can offer you. Some highlights will be the e-library, park and puppetry pass, and classes in the upcoming months. If this sounds like something you just can't wait to try, she will even bring library card applications so you can sign up right at the luncheon, if you don?t already have a card! Dyana attended Clemson University, where she received a BA degree in History, with a minor in Secondary Education. In 2012 she started working at the circulation desk at the Union County Library, where she also helped with the Summer Reading Program and the Fall Story Time. She was later promoted to her current position as Training and Outreach Coordinator of the entire Mountain Regional Library System, which includes Fannin, Towns, and Union Counties. But she hasn't stopped furthering her education. She is currently working on her Masters Degree in Library Science at the University of North Texas, where she is a member of Alpha Chi National Honor Society. We are so fortunate to have someone so accomplished in our local library system! We are welcoming back Leslie Hughes as our Musical guest. Leslie is a native of Blairsville, where she received most of her musical training at the North Georgia School of Gospel Music, which she attended each summer for many years. Leslie is a Nurse Practitioner with Blue Mountain Family Medical Practice. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason, and their two children. Have you ever been challenged to move on from past hurts? That is exactly what our guest Speaker, Glenda Smith, of Snellville, GA, will do. She is a Computer Programmer and Systems Analyst. She will tell us her compelling story, with humor, while bringing us a message filled with hope in her presentation, "How is it Possible to get Past the Past When it is Past Overdue?" Please make your reservations by Monday, April 6th, and invite a friend or two! The cost of $11.00 is all inclusive. Please pay by cash or check. Call or email Jocelyn Bowers, 706-781-1537; jowabow@aol.com or Betty Taylor, 706-745-2248; bgtaylor169@yahoo.com to reserve your seat. Monet's Café is located in Blairsville at 130 Blue Ridge Street.
