Farmers Market Grand Opening Celebration This Saturday
The Union County Farmers Market is celebrating the summer season with a grand opening celebration this holiday weekend. Saturday, July 2, from 7am-1pm, come and enjoy over 60 vendors with the finest in locally grown produce, plants, herbs, canned goods, baked goods, and the craftsmanship of local artisans with pottery, photography, stitched and knitted goods. Come for breakfast or come for lunch. There’s lots of delicious food being served all day.
As part of the celebration, there will be free bags of popcorn served from 9am till 12pm. Bring the kids so they can enjoy our chalk drawing contest between the hours of 10am and 12pm. And those of you adults who like to compete, there will be a horseshoe toss contest beginning at 10:15am – 11:45pm. Winners will take home watermelons in time for the July 4th celebration.

Growers and artisans will sell their goods on Saturday from 7:00am - 1:00pm.
A local market with items from artisans, beekeepers, bakers,potters,painters, and lots of good things to eat.
