What do I do with all of this fiber? If you raise fiber producing animals you may find yourself asking this question. This class designed to help you feel more comfortable with the milling and or crafting process, so you can do something useful with your precious animal's fiber. Learn to prepare your fleece, skirt and wash some fiber. We will discuss skirting a fleece for the mill and the many options you have with mill processing. Covering at least 3 different dye techniques, we will dye a small skein of yarn, some raw fleece and some carded roving. Carding fiber and learning about the many combinations of fibers will also be demonstrated and discussed. All materials included. We begin the morning with homemade sweet breads, coffee or tea. lunch is a warm yummy farm to table cozy affair: $99.00 each.
