Visit the beautifully restored Historic Mineral Bluff Depot at 150 Railroad Avenue, Mineral Bluff, Georgia, between 10:00am and 2:00pm Saturday, February 20th. This building was constructed over 100 years ago with locally made brick and is the oldest public building remaining in Fannin County. In addition to the opportunity to view and inspect this building close up, you will also be able to observe the progress being made by Tri-State Model Railroaders on their large “HO” Scale model railroad representing the Louisville & Nashville Railroad’s “Hook and Eye” Old Line running from Marietta, Ga through Ellijay, Blue Ridge and McCaysville/Copperhill to Etowah, TN and the branch line to Murphy, NC. Enjoy history, model railroading, and great conversation about this Tri-State Region’s railroading history. For further information call 828-361-2210. See their Website at www.tsmri.org and CLICK on the Calendar tab for a schedule of activities for the year.
