Georgians are invited to explore State Parks & Historic Sites with free admission, dozens of volunteer projects and family-friendly events on Saturday, September 27. Sponsored by Friends of Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites, the statewide celebration of National Public Lands Day showcases how parks enrich communities and the importance of local volunteerism. Choose from activities ranging from trail maintenance and river clean-ups, to guided hikes and astronomy programs.
